Zoe and Neil – New Hall Hotel, Sutton Coldfield

Nigel and I were thrilled when Zoe – a bridesmaid from one of our weddings last year asked us to photograph her wedding to Neil.  We travelled down for their big day to Sutton Coldfield near Birmingham to the beautiful New Hall Hotel, at 800 years old the New Hall hotel is the oldest inhabited moated manor house in England.  It set’s the scene for a wedding as an amazing venue filled with character and history, and as a bonus we were treated all day to beautiful sunny weather.  We were delighted to see many familiar faces from John and Nicola’s wedding in October last year and were made to feel almost part of the family, even being invited to join them for dinner the night before.  Every one had a wonderful time at the wedding.  Here are a few of our personal favorites.

If you were a guest at the wedding and would like to see the rest of their wedding pictures, please get i touch with them both for their password and follow this link below:

A few weeks after the wedding Zoe and Neil send us a wonderful email filled with their thoughts and sentiments.  Here’s how it reads:

‘Hi Nigel & Chrissie

We are just back from honeymoon and wanted to say a really BIG THANK YOU for your fantastic photography which gives us the lasting memories of our day.

All credit to you both, I have lost count of our friends and family that have said you are the very best photographers they have ever met and felt that by the end of the day you were friends not just ‘wedding photographers’, that means a huge amount to us and you have certainly left a lasting impression with everyone.

It’s a shame that you already have a full diary in October, I would have had a guaranteed booking for you….however we will still look for referrals to you.

We were fortunate to be able to view the pictures whilst on honeymoon in Malaysia and I had tears in my eyes at how you had captured moments we didn’t have the opportunity, or either of us didn’t see with the preparation of our special day.

You both truly deserve to continually have a ‘full diary’ of events, you are committed and passionate about your work and these qualities are sometimes the “missing ingredient” in a successful business.

Look forward to seeing you soon

Neil & Zoe’

Clair and Lewis – Beamish Hall

At the end or March we were given our first really sunny day of the year, it was perfect timing for Clair and Lewis’s wedding day at Beamish Hall.  Clair and Lewis opted for a fresh spring feel to their colour theme and decoration, simple and very pretty which with the sunny weather worked very well indeed.

Clair and Lewis were one of the sweetest couples we have seen in a long time, they have been together since childhood and as it shows in their pictures were clearly still very much in love.  It was a perfect day, a pleasure to attend and a joy to get to know them both.  Below are a few of my personal favorites from their big day.

If you were a guest, or are friends or family of Clair and Lewis’s and would like to see the rest of their wedding photographs please get in touch with them both for the password and follow this link:

Thank you so very much

Claire and Haytham – The Hilton Hotel, Gateshead

We were thrilled to cover Claire and Haytham’s wonderfully stylish wedding at the Hiton Hotel in Gateshead in March.  Whilst incorporating many traditions within their big day the over all style was contemporary, with a very stylish urban venue choice and an unusual but very successful colour theme.  They chose and un-obvious choice of turquoise and green for the bridesmaids dresses, pink and white flowers and Haytham choice a stylish turquoise suit.  It looked amazing.  Haytham’s Egyptian roots introduced us to the fabulous Zaffa, an ancient tradition to announce the marriage.  The musical procession of drums and symbols is lead by a belly dancer leading the bride and groom and their family’s into dance, the room was filled with music and dancing, it was an amazing experience.  Thank you to you both for a fantastic day.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Shortly after the big day, Clair and Haytham send us a lovely card, it read:

‘Dear Nigel and Chrissie,

Thank you very much for capturing our special day so beautifully and completely un-intrusively.  You were not only extremely helpful , but a pleasure to have with us on the day.

Love

Claire and Haytham -xx-

Seema and Jav – Civic Centre Newcastle

Seema and Jav chose the day before valentines day for their wedding in Newcastle.  A fresh chill in the air with a dusting of snow set a romantic scene for their big day.  They were married in Newcastle’s civic centre heading back home for their traditional celebrations in a marquay set up in the back garden for the occasion.  Everyone had a great day filled with laughter and fun.  Thank you for a wonderful day and congratulations to you both.

Ruth and Bevan – Beamish Hall

Early January, Nigel and I found ourselves at Beamish Hall, a regular venue of ours which is always a joy to return to, a great building and grounds with so many photo ops, great staff, great service and great food.  What more could you ask for?  This time we returned to Cover Ruth and Bevan’s wedding day.

We started the day with a shot of the beautiful frost covered grounds, Ruth got ready in room 201, the bridal suite, they held their ceremony in the Shafto Hall, a dark wooden panelled hall, very appropriate for a winter wedding, moving on to the Monboucher for their wedding breakfast and evening reception.  A great wedding day filled with taste and elegance with added details such as pillar candles placed in the fireplaces and on the mantle pieces and rose petals scattered on the tables which really helped set the scene of their romantic but sophisticated wedding day.  Congratulations to you both.

If you would were a guest of Ruth and Bevan’s and would like to see the rest of their wedding photographs please get in touch with the both of them for their password and follow the link below.

Only one day left for 2009!

Nigel and I have had a great last 12 months with our services becoming increasingly sought after, so much so that we have filled our diaries for 2009 with dates for 2010 filling very fast.

Nigel and I choose to work together at every wedding, we choose to do all of our own post production, album designs and of course you will always deal with us directly.  We choose to operate exclusively as a husband and wife team, and so we have to limit how many wedding commissions we take each year.  2009 has filled very fast and so as a result we can no longer take bookings for this year, with one exception.  The 26th September is available in our diaries for a wedding commission due to one of our couples having to change their wedding date, so get in touch if your wedding happens to be on the 26th September and you would like us to cover your big day.

Chrissie
