Helen and Peter, Seaham Hall

Helen and Peter chose St Mark’s Church in Millfield, Sunderland for their wedding, moving on later in the day to a reception in the magnificent Seaham Hall.

Helen’s Mum gets pampered at home before the ceremony, after all it’s her big day too.

Helen and Peter chose a beautiful shade of green for the bridesmaids gowns helping to create a fresh simple look to the day.

With her hair and makeup immaculate, Helen begins to get ready, first the earring’s.

Her bridesmaids help her into her gorgeous Maggie dress.

Helen’s sister Laura ties the lovely lace up corseted bodice.

Helen, looking gorgeous heads down stairs and to her waiting bridal car…

…which whisks her of to the church.

Some carefully caught moments through the ceremony.

Guests throw confetti with a rather spectacular effect.

The bridesmaids stand for a quick group shot before heading of to Seaham hall.

As we got close to the sea the mist came in and stayed with us for the rest of the day.

At Seaham Hall the girls once again pose for us, this time complete with bride.

The must have shot, how can you have a wedding at Seaham hall without the vortex water feature?

Some romantic moments for Helen and Peter with Seaham hall standing proudly behind them.  A couple of great dynamic images…

A little walk around the grounds gives us the chance to take some natural shots of Helen and Peter, the water lillies giving us a little colour and the reflections in the pond really make this work well.

Heading off down to the spa for a shot with the infamous baby elephant.

Tables ready for dinner, the room looked spectacular.

Their cake was perfectly matched with the theme of the day, fresh, simple and very pretty.

After dinner guests linger and chat outside on the terrace.

The evening party kicks off with the first dance, as a treat for Helen and Peter close friends sing for them.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Broomfield

Dewi and Edd, St John’s Methodist Church Sunderland

Some months ago Dewi requested us to photograph her modeling portfolio, she was thrilled with the results and so shortly after she and Edd also asked us to photograph their wedding.

The wedding was a small intimate occasion with the ceremony at St John’s Methodist church, Sunderland and the wedding reception held in the restaurant Ozone in the city centre area of sunnyside.

A shower bouquet of orchids set a simple colour scheme giving the wedding the touch of elegance.

Dewi looked gorgeous in her lace mermaid dress.

Dewi chats by web cam to her parents in Indonesia who couldn’t be with us at the wedding.

Edd and his son Paul waiting patiently at the church, a quick grab before they head inside to wait for the bride.

Dewi arrives in style.

She looked sensational as she walked up the aisle, all eyes were on her… expect for Edd’s.

Before long, Mr and Mrs Lillie walked back down the church aisle.

Greeting good friends

TIme for some romantic portraits outside of the church and then off the Mowbray park for a few more.

A lovely moment between the two of them captured, they look truly elated.

Off to the Ozone for the wedding reception.  The room is set for dinner and it looked great.

Their personalised cake topper

After dinner we then head off to 200 High street, just up the road for their evening celebrations.  This fun shot above was taken on the way.

Their first dance

A change of outfit for the party and Dewi has ago herself on the mic!

Congratulations guys, have an amazing 6 months in Bali.

Victoria and Mike, The Roker Hotel

Victoria and Mike came all the way up from Reading to marry in the Roker hotel in their home town of Sunderland.

Victoria chose a bouquet of gorgeous Grand Prix roses for her big day, in this photograph her engagement ring sits nicely on top of her bouquet.

She also chose Julie Ann Pattinson to design her hair and makeup.  Julie is a close friend of ours and is amazing at her job, for further information on how she can help you on your big day take a look at her website – Julie Ann Pattinson

Victoria had both hair extensions and false eyelashes applied, she looked beautiful.

The lads enjoy a few shots with Nige out on the roker pier.

Bridesmaids sent downstairs (at Victoria’s request) Julie and I are left to help Victoria into her dress and shoes.

A few minutes for a couple of bridal portraits, this arty silhouette shot really shows off the shape of her gorgeous dress.

She met her man in ballroom and in no time at all they were man and wife.

Victoria and Mike chose not only bucks fizz for their guests to enjoy after the ceremony but also bottles of corona larger.  I though this was a great idea as it gave the wedding a lovely informal feel straight away.  (The guests enjoyed them also.)

They both greeted their guests after the ceremony, this time gave us an ideal opportunity to get some great expressive shots like this one.

Time for a few portraits, starting with a quick trip to the beach across the road…

…and the pier of course.

A stroll along the beach gave us the chance to capture these romantic moments.

A few moments in Roker park with a shot of them dancing in the bandstand.

Back to the hotel, the room is laid ready for dinner.

Victoria and Mike impressed their guests with a fantastic choreographed first dance.

Congratulations guys.

Stephanie and Darrell Burn, The Roker Hotel

It’s been while a quite a while since I have found the time to update the blog, blogging has been totally impossible as we have had little to no spare time. We have however had a great time attending and photographing some fabulous weddings this summer, with lots more still to come.

One such wedding was that of Stephanie and Darrell. Their wedding took place at St Anne’s Church, Sunderland moveing on then to the Roker Hotel, Seaburn.

The colour theme of the day was pink with shades of silver, this was echoed in the bouquets and the bridesmaids outfits.

This gorgeous little thing is Rebecca, Stephanie’s flowergirl.

The beautiful bride…

…and the rings

Darrell and his best man Gary wait for the bride to arrive.

A view of the ceremony

and the blessing of the rings.

We have a few moments to get the family shots and this one of the lads before heading off the the Hotel

…and our timing couldn’t have been better as no sooner had Stephanie closed the door of their car, the heavens opened, the rain was torrential. What happened to that gorgeous blue sky moments before?

We took few moments to take some pictures around the hotel.

The Bridal suite

Our handsome groom

At dinner, guests raise a toast to Stephanie and Darrell,

…and they danced the evening away

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Burn
