Heather and Austin, The Cathedral of St Nicholas

Heather and Austin, both professional singers chose the beautiful Cathedral of St Nicholas in Newcastle for their wedding.

The theme was simple elegance, with shades of ivory and gold used through out the day.

Heathers Mum did a great job of styling her hair for the big day creating loose tumbling waves for that romantic touch.

The boys took a walk around Newcastle before heading off to the Cathedral.

A moment of thought before the guests start to fill into the Cathedral.

Heather and her Father arrive through the great oak doors of the Cathedral.

The ceremony was magical. The whole building was filled with music. The resident choir sang beautifully and as a lovely touch, Dziel, Austin’s best man sang for them through out the signing.

I loved the way that the light from the stain glass windows played on the stone floor of the Cathedral.

The reception was held at the Gosforth Park Marriott Hotel…

…and Dziel gave a fantastic speech, with even a French toast.

A perfect time of the day for a few pictures, a warm glow of light surrounds the couple as dusk begins to come in.

Austin chose to sing a rendition of ‘I did it my way’ during the evening karaoke, the incredible power of his voice – even after a few beers totally blew us away.

The lads from the Cathedral choir chose to perform a rendition of ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ – fantastic job lads, well done.

Congratulations Heather and Austin

Leanne and Michael, Shotton Hall

Leanne and Michael chose Shotton Hall, near Peterlee as the venue for their wedding.

The bridesmaids dresses created the colour theme for the wedding.

despite the rain spirits were high and the lads stand for a shot before heading inside to wait for Leanne.

This gorgeous little girl is Molly, their flowergirl.

Leanne arrives in style.

The lads stand for a fun group shot after the ceremony…

…and the young bridesmaids can’t help but to take a peek at the lads as they have their picture taken.

Leanne’s Mum chose a green outfit to match the theme of the day.

The rain finally subsides so we head out for some portraits of the bride and groom.

The mist of the early evening helped us to create these stunning impromptu shots.

The lads chose to celebrate during the evening with a cigar or two.

The fantastic disco created a very energetic end to the day, full of colour.

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hawkes.

Susan and Jim, Close House

Jim and Susan chose to follow their traditions of a Chinese wedding, while also including elements from traditional British weddings, think of it as east meets west.

Loud gongs and drums marked the start of the procession from the grooms home to collect his bride.

Susan’s parents home became the venue for the traditional tea ceremony.

The couple present the Bride’s family with cups of tea as a sign of respect and thanks for her upbringing.

Mimicking a rowing boat filled with Chinese fishermen, or women in this case, Jim takes his bride home to his parents home. Everyone was shouting and cheering, the drum was beating and everyone was having a great time. The neighbors even came to their front doors to take a peek at the procession.

The gorgeous Rolls Royce drove up from London especially for Susan and Jim’s wedding.

Susan’s chief bridesmaid Yasmin fits her veil in place.

The bridal shoes and Susan’s beautiful Swarovski crystal necklace.

Susan waiting a few moments before heading down to the ceremony to meet Jim

Her bouquet contained ivory roses each with an aurora borealis crystal in the centre and sprigs of rosemary to add a fresh scent.

All eyes were on Susan as she walked down the aisle looking very elegant.

A very large entire party shot taken from above.

They both took a little walk around the grounds of Close house.

Sitting n front of the large greenhouse, Jim and Susan look out towards their guests waving and cheering.

They head off to china town in Newcastle for their Chinese banquet

Susan gets dressed for the third time today into a beautiful traditional Chinese gown, Yasmine and bridesmaid Natalie add red heir pieces to her ‘do’

Jim’s parents enjoy the speeches, which happen during the meal as guest enjoy the 12 courses provided to them.

The champaign fountain.

The start to the second banquet. Friends here again mimic the rowing boat from this morning, cheering and singing as they take Jim and Susan around the room.

Susan dresses into a beautiful blue lace gown for her forth outfit of the day.

A karaoke encourages family and friends up to sing.

Back to Jim’s parents home, the tea ceremony begins, with tea presented to the grooms family. The eldest relative customary presents gold to close family and the couple.

The atmosphere was incredible.

A quick trip back to Close house to release fire lanterns in memory of passed loved ones.

Thank you Susan and Jim for an incredible day, we shall look forward to seeing you all at Keith and Manyee’s wedding later this year.

Anna and Paul, Merewood Country House Hotel

Anna and Paul got married at Merewood country House Hotel in the beautiful Lake District…

…and this gorgeous view of lake Windermere was the view from the Bridal Suite

They chose subtle shades of Ivory through out the wedding for an elegant look to the day,

and a beautiful but simple hand tied bouquet of ivory roses and calia lilies

These two gorgeous girls, Katie and Abigail were Anna’s flowergirls…

…and here watching the guests below arriving for the ceremony

Anna gave the girls pouches of confetti to carry during the ceremony.

A laugh shared with her Dad the moment before they headed downstairs.

The girls practicing their procession down the aisle.

A tender moment during the ceremony, a small gesture of love that as a photograph says so much.

The kiss.

They both took plenty of time to greet their guests after the ceremony, and this, a moment shared between mother and daughter.

During our recce of the venue a few days before, we scouted around for plenty of original places to take portraits of the couple. We came across an old rustic shed and knew it would make a fantastic place for portraits with a difference.

We were prepared on the day with a towel and a junior hacksaw to remove the overgrown brambles before we met the couple, the results were fantastic.

Anna with her closest friends sharing a laugh for an informal group photograph.

Best man Lee giving a great speech.

Congratulations Anna and Paul
